AW14 Press Day

What is a press day and why do we have them?  To present the season coming up, we came together with a handful of our favourite brands for a sunny press day day in London's Somerset House.

So, what is a press day, you may ask? Well, because fashion works so far in advance, brands must showcase their collections to the press around 6 months before it hits the shops. A press day allows us to do that. There's clothes, there's flowers, there's macaroons and most of all there's lots of meeting amazing people and talking talking talking about what inspired the AW14collection (more of that in a later post).

Because the monthly glossies start planning the September issues when you haven't even bought your first bikini yet (think March/April...) you have to show them early, hence why this took place in April. If you want to be in beautiful shoots that are going to end up on everyone's 'Editorial' Pinterest boards, you've got to make sure the stylists have seen your collection.

Lucky for us, as well as all the journalists who came by to see our pieces, we were able to spend this sunny day alongside some of our favourite people from a host of wonderful London brands; Marina London, Moxham Store, Danielle Foster and Completed Works.

Thanks to Rena Sala for organising a great day, and to all those who came down.
